My first self-produced song!

I needed to reset my mental and spiritual state (something that happens often). So I decided to sit on my steps to journal with the door open to enjoy the outdoors while still being indoors. I was focused on the beauty of nature, the sunshine, the breeze in the trees, and taking deep, full breaths. I started writing a poem and decided they were lyrics. "Pause" was coming to fruition.

Singing this song and listening to it reminds me to be grateful for everything that is. It reminds me to focus on the beauty that is always here. I hope it does the same for you.

Sometimes there’s too much focus on what I lack
Completely losing sight of all I have
Problems arise to trip us on our path
When things may not be perfect
And I wonder if it’s worth it
I must Be still, take a moment to see

Sometimes I just need to pause
Open my eyes to the awe
Breathe slowly and fully
Search for the beauty

Frustration can be a common theme
When I'm out chasing all my dreams
Surrounded by naysayers it seems
When things may not be perfect
And I wonder if it’s worth it
Be still, take a moment to see

Like tears when you laugh
The music in a giggle
